As Lucas’s mother, I know how much I miss him but I also was lucky enough to know him as a friend, so I also understand your loss, as well. He was the kind of friend who always made the day seem brighter, he brought a joyful wisdom to each of our lives that we miss everyday. I want to share with you a day to remember him, a day when we can walk from the mural where he was shot to the Victims of Violent Crimes Memorial Park, 3 blocks away, where his name placard is displayed with others that lost their lives to violence.
From there we will march to the courthouse & respectfully show our support at the pretrial of the man who shot him. The walk will do us good, it will give us time to let go of some of the frustration we feel because of the pace at which Justice flows. After the courthouse, everyone is invited to a Potluck BBQ at Jason Carlton’s house in Eagle River.
T-Shirts are available for purchase but not required. If you can’t attend but would like to show your support, please feel free to buy a shirt for someone else who can’t afford one. The owner of this site will make sure that happens. The t-shirt is sold at cost & is made from top quality material, it doesn’t have to be just for the March, it can be worn just to have him over your heart.
