Guy is a U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force Veteran. After his service in the Navy, he became a jet engine mechanic working in Corpus Christi, Texas. In the early 70's, he decided to join the Air Force, and in 1974, was stationed in Anchorage, Alaska at Elmendorf A.F.B. With the exception of a year in San Antonio, Texas for the Air Force, he has been a true blue Alaskan ever since. He lives north of Anchorage about 50 miles on a piece of land he bought along with his then business partner. Nestled along the Little Susitna River near the Talkeetna Mountains in the beautiful Matanuska Valley, is a wooded piece of land he calls home. He shares his land with few others, bald eagles, moose, porccupine, squirrels and an occasional bear or two who happen to wander through.
Over the years, Guy has been a steeplejack (one who climbs tall structures), master plumber/pipe fitter, heavy equipment operator, truck driver, artist, glass blower and business owner. I dare say a jack of many trades, because he masters everything he does. He is unique in that way and Unique Rings & Things is no different. I know all these things about him because well, Guy is my brother. His hand crafted rings take a true artist. Each one carefully hand carved, then brilliantly polished. Each one, a work of art.
